More than two years ago, I was detected with Prostrate Cancer and needed immediate surgery, preferably robotic. After hearing about Dr Puneet Ahluwalia’s reputation from some known doctors to me, I immediately rushed from Jalandhar to Delhi Max Hospital for Consultations.
The pleasant demeanour of Dr Puneet Ahluwalia made me very comfortable. He helped me undergo all necessary tests and went deep into the diagnosis and explained best treatment options and their pros and cons. Although I had other options, I preferred to undergo Robotic Surgery from Dr Puneet Ahluwalia himself and today I am more than happy that I made the right decision.
Apart from his expertise in Robotic Surgery, the best attribute of Dr Puneet Ahluwalia is his polite nature, ability to connect with the patient and make him feel at ease. His easy accessibility even post-surgery makes him a stand out from other surgeons.

Being detected with melagnant tumor in the bladder at the age of 82years is not an easy time for the patient or their family. But under Dr Puneet’s guidance and utmost assurance of the robotic surgery, my family and I gathered the courage to get the bladder removed.
The recovery was faster than anybody could have imagined for any patient of my age. There was no incision in the abdomen even for such a major surgery. Dr Puneet is a highly skilled doctor and is an expert at robotics surgery. We were referred to Dr Puneet by a close Dr family member of ours when my wife was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2019. Given the situation, we all were very tensed and anxious. During our first meeting with Dr Puneet, he was kind and patient enough to explain the entire process to us and even made hand written notes for us to refer to later. He talked to us for more than 1 hour and answered every question we had patiently. During the day of the surgery, Dr Puneet made sure to meet us multiple times to give us updates and even told us about how the procedure went after the surgery completed. The surgery went well and my wife recovered quickly under the expert care of Dr Puneet. Even post the surgery, Dr Puneet has always been available to answer to all our questions and has given us time even during his busy hours to make sure we feel comfortable and my wife feels better.

My wife Sangita Tola was diagnosed with Adernal Mass and was admitted to Max Super Speciality Hospital Saket under the supervision and treatment of Dr Puneet Ahluwalia in June 2019.

She had uncontrolled hypertension and on investigations she was found to have large adrenal mass. Dr Puneet did thorough investigation in a systematic manner as adrenal masses could produce few hormones which may cause problems during the surgery and hence need to be taken care of before the operation. We were informed that adrenal mass needs to come out and we had options of open versus laparoscopic versus Robotic surgery. After discussing all modalities and understanding the advantages of each, we decided to get Robotic surgery done by Dr Puneet.

Surgery was conducted with less than 1cm incisions and cuts. She didn’t have any pain after such a major surgery. She had a fast recovery with no infection and she was discharged in a very short period of time after the surgery.

I had a wonderful experience with him at Max Health Care Hospital. Dr. Puneet has not only taken great care of my mother’s health but he is very affable. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such great qualities who takes care of a patient with personal touch and with outstanding medical knowledge.

My mother had previous history of Endometrial Cancer & now was diagnosed with second primary Kidney tumor. We were in big dilemma to choose from the two possibilities i.e., Open surgery v/s Robotic surgery. Dr. Puneet went out of his way to make sure all our questions were answered. We were counselled about the advantages of Robotic surgery by him. He made sure that we and the medical team are on the same page and comfortable to go ahead with the Robotic surgery. My mother who is now 61 years old had undergone 03 surgeries in the past and they were all open surgeries. The human body undergoes a lot of trauma during the surgeries so my mother was very scared to undergo one once again for the 4^th time. The Robotic Surgery is a highly advanced surgery with much greater accuracy which is in complete control of console surgeon. Hence after looking at all aspects and experience of Dr. Puneet Ahluwalia in robotic surgery we took the final decision and my mother underwent the Robotic Surgery in Max Health Care Hospital. It was a very precise surgery and there was significantly very less pain after the surgery as compared to the Open surgery. My mother got an early discharge from hospital i.e., 2^nd post operative day. There are almost no scars and the recovery period was very fast. My mother could return to normal activities as soon as she came back home.

With God’s grace and with the super support of Dr. Puneet Ahluwalia my mother is doing very well and I would recommend all the patients to please opt for Robotic surgery where ever the option is available. I hope my review will be of some help to take decision for those who are confused between Open surgery & Robotic surgery.

My mother underwent robotic partial nephrectomy in 2017 from DR. Puneet. We were so worried but Dr. Puneet guided us so well and reassured of her wellness and quick recovery after robotic partial nephro. Such a big surgery went without hiccups and minimal pain and discomfort due to this latest technology. It’s expensive but it’s definitely worthwhile as she was by herself in 2 days. There was weakness which also went away in a weak s time. It was such a difficult phase and had it not been Dr. Puneet we would have been really troubled. Dr. Puneet has been such a God sent person for my family as he treats everyone like his own and is so responsive. There are 6 monthly and annual follow ups with tests but that s also so comfortable with Dr Puneet and there is no unnecessary hassle.

I was suffering from Testicular cancer disease. My condition was very critical. My whole family was under immense stress. Puneet sir handled my case and cured me completely.
